Tom Wiedemeier is the owner of Wiedemeier Wood Dryers, LLC and the inventor of the HT Sanitizer machine. Tom also owns Thomas Wiedemeier Sawmill in Porterfield, Wisconsin, a 4th generation family-owned business. One of Wiedemeier Sawmill’s key products was bundled firewood, which was shipped to many large gas station chains, convenience and grocery stores in Illinois. The spread of the Emerald Ash Borer and regulations for heat-treating firewood drove the idea to invent a firewood heat treating machine with a flow through system in March of 2008. In 2011, Tom made the first version of a pallet heat treat system for a local pallet manufacturer, who was able to become ISPM-15 compliant. In 2015 Tom’s son, Troy, started transitioning in to take over running the sawmill business so that Tom’s primary focus could shift to building the HT Sanitizer business.
